Joseph Thomas "Joey" Flynn

Joseph Thomas Flynn, 76, of Kentville, died suddenly on September 10, 2020 in the Valley Regional Hospital. He was the son of the late William and Emily Flynn. Joey was a jokester and loved to play pranks on everyone around him. He was always leaving things in your shoes and hiding your shoes. He would talk to anybody and everybody. He had such a jolly nature and will be sadly missed by all that knew him. He attended the School of the deaf in Halifax and Amherst and worked for the Government of Toronto as a printer for 45 years. Joey leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Helen (Henshaw) Flynn; mother-in-law, Nina Henshaw; brothers-in-law, Howard Henshaw and Percy (Carolyn); sisters-in-law, Olga Flynn and Eileen Grace Paddy; nephews, Darren (Karla) Henshaw, Barry (Patsy) Blance, Danny (Christine) Flynn, Mark, Patty and Johnathon; nieces, Denisa (Bruce) Mossman, Brianna Manuel, Emily Grace Daniel and Samantha (Jeff); cousin, Linda Wadden; as well as numerous friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by daughter, Elizabeth Anne Flynn (infancy); brothers, Freddy, Earl, Darryl and John Frances and his father-in-law, Joseph Henshaw. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. A public graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2020 in Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Father Keith Billard officating. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
