Raymond Vallancey Smyth

Raymond Vallancey Smyth, 100, of Aldershot, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020 in Wedgewood House for Seniors, Kentville.  Born in Berwick, he a son of the late William and Edith (Fisk) Smyth. Raymond had been employed at the Kentville Research Station for many years, from where he retired. He is survived by two daughters, Dorothy "Missy" Smyth, Aldershot and Pearl (Wayne) Dominey, Cambridge; three sons, Ralph (Debbie), Kentville, Eric, Halifax and Arthur (Vickie), Winnipeg, Manitoba; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Patricia (Johns) Smyth and a brother Arthur Smyth. Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will take place in the Elm Grove Cemetery at a later date.  Donations in memory may be made to Kings  County Court House Museum, Kentville, NS. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
