Ernest Corbin – 83, of Meadowview, Kings County, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at home. Born in Meadowview, he was a son of the late George and Alma (Acker) Corbin. He was the founder of the Meadowview Development Association. He was employed with Weavexx, Kentville for 30 years. Ernest is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Velma (Hardwick); children, April Houck, New Minas; George (Anita) Corbin, Cambridge; John (Paula) Corbin, Middle Sackville; Darlene Tabor, Coldbrook; Cheryl (Woody) Pick, St. Croix and Chad Corbin, Meadowview; former daughter-in-law, Lana Downey-Naud, Eastern Passage; former son-in-law, Tim Tabor, Aylesford; brothers, Gary (Penny), Meadowview; Gerald (Ethel), Canning and Gene, ON; sister, Florence Doucette, Fredericton, NB. He was a loving Pappy to eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by son-in-law, Eric Houck; brothers, Sydney, George, Vincent and Edgar; sisters, Mary Johnstone, Evelyn Bush and Polly Hare. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service by family request. Donations in memory may be made to the Annapolis Valley Victorian Order of Nurses or the Meadowview Development Association.
