Sandy Carmen Chan Bent
Sandy Carmen Chan Bent – 49, of Kentville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 7, 2021, at home. Born in Montreal, Quebec, she was a daughter of Connie Soo Ping Davidson and the late Sung Kwok Henry Chan. Sandy was often referred to as "Jackie" (as in Jackie Chan). She was barely 5 feet tall and had the attitude and spunk of Godzilla. She enjoyed travelling and gardening. Her love of cooking shows would spill into her kitchen to be shared with everyone. Sandy enjoyed meeting, interacting and working with people, especially at the restaurant, serving and waiting tables. In addition to her mother, she is survived by a son, Tanner; former husband, Scott Bent; sister, Linda (Lloyd) Butt and their children, Travis and Matthew; sister, Carol (Danny) Bezanson and their children, Andrew and Tommy; brother, Jamie Davidson; step-father, Basil Davidson; uncle, Tim (Jean) Hum and their children, Beatrice and Anthony; uncle, Steve (Christina) Hum and their children, Sharon, Bonnie, Amy and Gordon; uncle, Jim (Ying) Hum and their children, Lucas and Jeremy. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Dirk Foon Hum and Kam Lin Hum and her paternal grandparents Chan. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be made to an addiction awareness and support program of your choice.
