Donald Robert "Don" Rogers

Donald Robert "Don" Rogers – 69, of Kentville, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 27, 2021 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Kentville, he was a son of the late Donald and Julia (Carey) Rogers. Don began his 50-year career with M.W. Graves Limited and remained with the company through many mergers and name changes, retiring from Lassonde Industries. Don enjoyed fishing, working on cars, and tinkering with just about anything. He especially enjoyed working in the garage and the company that would drop in. Don was a friend to many and was always willing to lend a hand where necessary. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Patricia "Pat" (Mahar); children, Robert (Tracey) Rogers, Cambridge; Beverly Rogers, Kentville and Brian Rogers, Waterville; a sister, Helen Connors, New Minas; five grandchildren, Lanaya (Patrick) Gourley, Julia Rogers, Abigail Rogers, Dylan Benjamin and Ashley Rogers; one great-granddaughter, Laurel; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Doris MacDougall; brothers, Allen, Kim and Roland. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A private, invitation only funeral service will be held in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. There will be a video webcast of the funeral available at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2021.
