June 4, 1991 – December 15, 2020

Aaron’s life was taken way too soon when the scallop dragger he was on sank in the Bay of Fundy. Aaron loved being on the water and always had the biggest smiles when he was aboard the boat. Aaron had autism but that did not slow him down. Aaron started working at a young age by strawberry picking, which helped him buy his first car. He prepared bait bags for his stepfather’s lobster boat and worked at the pie factory for a couple of years, in between fishing. Fishing always called him back as well as the man who took him under his wing, Charles Roberts. Charles stood by Aaron through thick and thin, sadly in the end they earned their wings together as well as four others. Aaron was the son of Lori Phillips and stepson of Fred Phillips; great brother to Hayley (Jorge) Rodriguez; Alisha (Jeremy) Hazelton; and Alex Phillips; best uncle to Cayden, Dante and Estella – who shares his birthday; grandson to Brenda Cogswell and Lloyd (Cindy) Cogswell; nephew to Kenneth (Jackie) Cogswell and Derek (Melissa) Cogswell; cousin to Justin, Jacob, Jaydia and Jewel Cogswell. He will also be missed by many extended family and friends. Sadly, he was predeceased by his grandfather, Fred Phillips Sr. by sixteen days. Aaron lived, loved and worked hard. He will be missed by so many, leaving family and friends missing a piece of their hearts. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will be waiting until this coming summer to give Aaron the send off he would want. In the meantime, a celebration of Aaron’s life will be held in the Bethany Memorial Baptist Church, Aldershot. A video webcast of the celebration of his life will be available at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 20, 2021. Donations in memory may be made to Rowan’s Room Developmental Society (https://www.rowansroom.ca/?s=donate). Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
