Randolph Vernon "Randy" Wood

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Randy Wood, age 65, of Centreville. Randy was the eldest son of Shirley (Hazel) Wood and the late Harold Wood, Glenmont. Randy was an owner operator for 40 plus years working for Jumbo Motor Express, Maritime Ontario, Clarke Road Transport, Fastrax and presently with Day & Ross. Randy enjoyed and looked forward to riding his Harley Davidson with friends during Daytona Bike Week, Florida. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, his New Holland tractor, working on his truck, cutting his own firewood and spending time with his grandsons. He looked forward to school being out so that his grandsons could go on the road with him. Randy is survived by his wife of 45 years, Susan (MacBride); mother, Shirley; daughter, Threna; son-in-law, Hans; grandsons, Kohl and Broc Burghardt; sister, Wanda, husband, Rick Chambers; brother, Harlon, wife, Cheryl, their daughters, Laura, husband Jon Theriault and Kelsey (fiancé, Nate Brawn). A private funeral service was held in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Pastor Jeff Milne officiated. A celebration of Randy’s life will be held on Saturday, June 11 at 2:00 p.m. in the Centreville Community Hall. Donations in memory may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
