Ruth Ann Nickerson

Ruth Ann Nickerson – age 67, of Cambridge, Kings County, passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021. Born in Wolfville, she was a daughter of the late Leland and Grace (Ward) Nickerson. Ruth started her career as an LPN, working at the Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre, Evergreen Home for Special Care and the Blanchard Fraser Memorial Hosptial, Kentville. She then spent 28 years as an emergency dispatcher at Valley Communications. Ruth loved to knit and especially enjoyed intricate patterns. She was always up to date on the latest knitting trends! She was a very social person who enjoyed working with people. She will truly be missed by those who knew her. She is survived by sister, Leah Mintis (Bernard Oickle), Kentville; brothers, Brian (Lee Meister), Aldershot; Paul (Lynn), Irishtown, NB; four nieces, one nephew; two great-nieces; three great-nephews and extended family. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation, by request. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021 in the Arlington Cemetery, Kings County. Donations in memory may be made to Diabetes Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
