Dawn Adele Merry

Dawn Adele Merry – 73, of Canning, Kings County, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Wolfville, she was a daughter of Constance "Connie" (Sinnett) MacBride and the late Malcolm MacBride. In her early years, Dawn worked on various farms throughout the area and was later employed as an EA/Teacher Assistant with the school board. She later devoted her life to her family and was a dedicated, wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and friend. In addition to spending time with family, she enjoyed reading, coffee with the "Coffee Girls of Canning" and had a newfound love and appreciation for Facebook. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughters, Heather (Andy) Merry-Rhynold, Canning and LeeAnn (Fred) North, Canning; sisters, Trudie Rogers, Canning; Carla MacBride (Rob), Dartmouth; Kelly Huntley (James), Gaspereau and Tracie MacBride (Dale), Canning; brother, Dale MacBride, Canning; grandchildren, Haley North, Michael (Stacey) Merry, Amber (Charles) Pemberton and Matthew Rhynold; six great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Jackie; a son, Johnny; a grandson, Tyler North; brothers, Terry and Tony. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by request. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2021 in the Habitant Cemetery.  A video webcast of the service will be available at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 11, 2021. COVID-19 pandemic protocols are in place and physical distancing is required. Please bring a chair for those that wish to be seated. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
