Ronald Cecil Taylor

Ronald Cecil Taylor – age 86, of Tupper Lake, formerly of Kentville, passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021, at the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Berwick, he was a son of the late Howard and Mary (Warr) Taylor. Ron was a stores manager at the Kentville Research Station, from where he retired after 35 years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Kings Branch No. 6, Kentville, and was involved in rugby, track and field, hockey, boxing and baseball while attending school. Later in life, he continued to coach and play baseball and hockey. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son, brothers, and the guys. Ron, a loving husband and father, is survived by his wife, Mary (Toogood); daughters, Joy Taylor (Jerry Ferris), Ronda (Norman) Gee and Elizabeth (Richard "Rick") Spencer, all of Kentville; son, Dana (Heather), also of Kentville,  nine grandchildren, Renee, Natasha, Nadine, Chad, Chris, Hollie, Melissa, Megan and Kaitlin; 13 great-grandchildren, Sydney, Savannah, Connor, Emma, Hayden, Cohen, Brandon, Bryce, Nash, Paige, Halle, Hunter and Veda; many nieces and nephews; friends and extended family. He was predeceased by his first wife, Clara "Joyce"; great-granddaughter, Hannah Taylor; sisters, Frances Swindell, Viola Rogers, Marie Schnare, Louva Kenneally; brothers, Ernest, Norman, Floyd and half-brother, Earl Carey. There will be no visitation, by request. A private funeral service will be held in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. A video webcast of the service will be available at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 19, 2021. Burial will take place in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
