Rufus Robert Rockwell

Our hearts are very heavy as the family of Rufus Robert Rockwell announce his sudden passing on Friday September 24, 2021. He bounced into this world on June 18, 1960, in Sept. Isles, Quebec. He worked hard all his life from being a mechanic, to a truck driver, to being self employed and lastly a heavy-duty machine operator. The one thing he didn’t need to work hard at was loving his family. He leaves behind his adoring wife of 36 years Paulette (McMullin) Rockwell; his three beautiful children, Andrea Rockwell (Chris Dempsey) of Cambridge, Jennifer Johnson of Garland and Mindy Rockwell of Waterville; his beloved fur baby, Benson; his two sisters, Teresa (Larry Ogilvie) of Centreville, and Karlene (Randy Pynch), of North Alton. He also leaves eight grandchildren: Jesse, Cole, Chloe, Taylor, Ethan, Makena, Brogan and Lilli; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Veneda Weatherbee, and his parents, Joyce and Karl Rockwell. Due to the  COVID-19 pandemic and gathering restrictions, there will be a private service, by invitation only, in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. There will be a reception to follow at the Rockwell residence. A video webcast of the service will be available at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 3. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to The Local Food Bank or Local Red Cross.
