A wife, a mother, a sister, a daughter, this is the legacy you leave behind.

Machaela Diane Taylor Spinney - 39, of Gaspereau Mountain, Nova Scotia, died unexpectedly on October 2nd, 2021. The family is deeply saddened by her sudden death. She was born November 12^th, 1981, in Middleton, Nova Scotia and lived in Kings County for most of her life.

Machaela was well known for her incredible voice that reached so many across the continent and for her involvement in the bluegrass music community.

Machaela Loved her family and friends and had many across the country. Known for her huge personality and Loved for her infectious laugh she had the ability to turn every head in any room with her presence and her beautiful light. She was the life of every party and gave her time and voice to many charities in her community. Her favorite past time was being with her huge family in her back yard having bonfires while singing her favorite tunes. Taking care of her two beautiful boys was her life. She will always be remembered for the seeds of love she would sow anywhere she went. She was part of an online music community where she touched so many lives with her passion of music and her ability to make anyone believe they could do anything they dreamed.

She is survived by children, Keegan Vanderkloet and Kacey Spinney; husband, Rick Spinney; mother, Susan Feener; father, Danny Taylor; siblings, Troy Taylor, Sabrina Taylor, Angela Taylor, Corinna Taylor, Priscilla Couture, Germain Couture, Talitha Houghton and Tyonna Houghton.

A Celebration of Machaela's life will be held at a later date. Burial will take place in the Gaspereau Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
