Roger Everett Fales Huntley
Roger Everett Fales Huntley – age 84, of Scotts Bay, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 in Soldier’s Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Scotts Bay, he was a son of the late Charles and Mary (Rogers) Huntley. Roger was a jack of all trades – he was a farmer, fisherman and worked in the woods. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed playing darts, and cards with the boys. He was known as a community historian, he had a mind like a steel trap and if anyone needed information, they knew he would have the answers. Roger is survived by his wife, Winnifred (MacDonald); sons, Ivan (JoAnne) MacDonald, Terry (Deanna) Huntley and Jerry Huntley; brothers, Walter (Bonita), Oscar (Nancy), Byron, Clinton (Rena) and Forrest (Lana); sisters, Wilma Tupper, Juanita (Don) Rockwell and Julia (Leonard) North; grandchildren, Dustan Brown, Timothy MacDonald and Jason Huntley; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son in infancy and his sister, Connie Legge. There will be no visitation. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 22, 2021 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Interment will follow in Scotts Bay Cemetery, Scotts Bay. In accordance with the Nova Scotia Proof of Full Vaccination Policy, proof of full vaccination will be required to attend visitations, services and receptions held in or by the White Family Funeral Home. For those unable to attend, there will be a video webcast available at 2:00 p.m. Donations in memory may be made to the Scotts Bay Cemetery Fund.
