Bernard Clayton Hale
Bernard Clayton "Bernie" Hale – age 70, of Cambridge, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 22, 2021. Born in Berwick, he was a son of the late Clayton and Mae (Carter) Hale. Prior to retiring, Bernard worked as a farmer for many years. Bernard enjoyed his weekly yard sales and collecting antique toys. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary (late Gary) Blackburn. Survived by companion, Jean Hancock; brother, Raymond (Andrea) Hale; sister, Alice (Clifton) Oickle; and several nieces and nephews. Bernard’s family would like to extend a special thanks of appreciation to Doug Comeau and his care team, who helped to allow Bernard to remain in his home until his passing. Cremation has taken place. The interment will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 29, 2021 in Cambridge Cemetery, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in Cambridge Baptist Church, Cambridge, Reverends Joe Gosbee and John Hannem officiating. In accordance with the Nova Scotia Proof of Full Vaccination Policy, proof of full vaccination will be required to attend visitations, services and receptions held in or by the White Family Funeral Home. For those unable to attend, there will be a video webcast available on Tuesday, November 30 at 3:00 p.m. Donations in memory may be made to Western Valley Shriners Club or Camp Brigadoon.
