Delores Geneva Weisner

Delores Geneva Weisner – age 88, of Centreville, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Martin’s River, she was a daughter of the late William Leon Rafuse and Hulda Mae (DeMille) Rafuse. Mom worked many years on tobacco, potato and strawberry farms throughout the area. She is survived by three children, Gary (Wendy), Sunken Lake; Susan Weisner, PEI; Richard "Rick" (Sherri), Sheffield Mills; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; special granddaughter, Michelle Weisner; sisters, Golda Kelly, Kingsport; Flora Brown, Canning; Rose (Ralph) Sim, New Glasgow; Sandra Nichols, Port Williams; brothers, Lochlan "Bud" (Elizabeth) Rafuse, Sheffield Mills; Ron (Sylvia) Rafuse, Woodville; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years in 2020, Eugene "Bub"; brother, Leon Rafuse and grandson, Todd Woolaver. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 3, 2021 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Maya Bevan officiating. Interment will be held in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Donations in memory may be made to the Annapolis Valley VON or St. John’s Anglican Church, Church Street. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. In accordance with the Nova Scotia Proof of Full Vaccination Policy, proof of full vaccination will be required to attend visitations, services and receptions held in or by the White Family Funeral Home.
