Lawrence Wayne Bigelow

Lawrence Wayne Bigelow – 78, of Habitant, Kings County, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2022, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Wolfville, he was a son of the late Burdett and Lillian (Brown) Bigelow. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary (Sanford), Bigelow; son, Allan (Angela), Wolfville; daughter, Michelle (Britt) Taylor, Sheffield Mills, Kings County; sister, Mary Johnson, Habitant;brother, John "Billy" (Janet Colpitts), Dartmouth; grandchildren, Lance, Amber (Branden Sawler) and Jade Bigelow; Hannah and Jillian Taylor; great grandson, Maverick; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Louise West; nieces, Mary Lou West and Tammy Hines. Lawrence worked as an operator crewman for the Department of Highways, retiring after 21 years. He loved tinkering with cars in the garage until his health would not allow him. He loved his grandchildren dearly and they loved their Papa. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation, by request. A family gathering will take place in the Spring. Donations in Lawrence’s memory may be made to the Lung Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
