Harvey Eugene Corbett

Harvey Eugene Corbett, 75, of South Alton, Kings Co., passed away peacefully on January 6, 2022 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in South Alton, Harvey was a son of the late William and Charlotte (Trahon) Corbett. Harvey is survived by his common-law partner, Linda Wellwood; daughters, Patricia (Donnie) Croft, Gaspereau; Shelly Goodhand, Kelly (Jay) Parsons and Dawn Corbett, all of Ontario; four grandsons, David, James, Connor and Aiden; great-grandson, Henry; sister, Shirley Ward, brothers, Harold "Dickie", James and Eric. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Paul, Lawson and Ronald; sisters, Kathaleen and Hazel Shaffer. Harvey worked as a roofer most of his life for Bradshaw Woodworth Roofing until retirement. He loved his dog and faithful companion, Cole. He loved tinkering and working on old cars and trucks until his health would no longer allow him. He was often a visitor at one of his siblings for tea and sweets. A private graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 14, 2022 in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. A video webcast of the service will be available at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2022. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Lung Association. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. In accordance with the Nova Scotia Proof of Full Vaccination Policy, proof of full vaccination will be required to attend visitations, services and receptions held in or by the White Family Funeral Home.
