He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Judy (Brewster) Graves; son, Christopher (Eric) Schelter, Philadelphia; daughter, Susan (Matt) Russell, Hantsport; sisters, Cathy Griffin, New Minas; Betty (Dave) Strong, Berwick; Judy (Gene) Vaughan, La Have; Debbie Roberts, Pereau; Donna (Peter) Spencer, Wasaga Beach, ON; Diane Graves, Kentville; brothers, John (Sue), Kentville; and Tim, Toronto, ON; surrogate sister, Jackie Johnson, Greenwood; grandchildren, Vera and Gwen Russell, Freddie, Maddie and Hugh Schelter; mother-in-law, Jackie Brewster; sisters-in-law, Debbie (Cyril) Forsythe, Marie Hurley (Laarier Boudreau), Cathy (Jerry) Reimer, Nancy Brewster (Adam Munick); brother-in-law, David (Dolores) Brewster; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his father-in-law, Hugh Brewster and brother-in-law, Cliff Roberts. Bob worked, as his father before him, as a painter and dry waller. Many will attest he was one of the best. He loved broomball and baseball and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Bob will always be remembered by his many nieces and nephews as the one who had a treat ready for them no matter how old they were. Bob would give you the shirt off his back and many cases did just that. Bob enjoyed his time as Judy’s partner in the Bell Aliant Pioneers and even though Judy was the active member everyone knew Bob. Hunga-munga Bob, you are at peace now. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Bob’s life will take place at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
