Eric Marvin Lockhart

Eric Marvin Lockhart - age 67, of New Minas, was born October 21, 1954 and passed away very suddenly on January 13, 2022. He was a son of the late William and Myrtle (Floden) Lockhart. Eric was a beloved son and brother and will be so greatly missed.  He is survived by brothers and sisters, Cecil (Mary) Lockhart, Archie Lockhart, Rosanne Richards, Esther (Kevin) Bradley, and Keith Lockhart. Predeceased by his parents and brother, Charles Lockhart. He has many nieces and nephews which he had a great love for, and they all adored him. Eric spent time with them and they have many fond memories of him such as trips to the Dairy Queen and giving driving lessons in the gravel pit - Andrew (Shawna) Lockhart, Tony (Stephanie) Lockhart, Chandra-Pamela Lockhart, Steven (Mia) Lockhart, Duane (Jennifer) Richards, Duight (Cathy) Richards, Dumont (Kim) Richards, Robyn Richards, Kyle Lockhart (Courtney Swaine), Amy (Jenna) Lumley, Katie Lockhart and Jared Bradley; grand nieces and nephews, Hannah, Joshua, Aiden, Ella-Jane (Lincoln), Luke (Ally), Taze, Noah Fraser, Nigel Fraser, Quinn, Jasmine, Jade, Milo, Ben, William, Sarah, Christy, Tori, Lauren (Mason), Brooklynn and Beckham.

Eric lived and worked at the family homestead in his early years before going to be a minister of the Gospel up until his passing. During these years he was sincerely devoted to his faith and loved his calling to go and reach out to others. Eric has been in several places within the Atlantic Provinces, Quebec and Ontario. During this time he had spent enjoyable years with his co-workers, made many wonderful friends and showed an interest in all, both old and young.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2022 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Wayne Hutchison, Leslie Beddoe, Eric Morton, Albert Clark, Jean Gravil, Charles O’Regan officiating. Music by Simon Seeber and Eric’s fellow ministers. A video webcast of the service will also be available at that time. Interment will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery, Kentville. Klinton Jacques and Steve Shultz officiating. A reception will follow the interment at New Minas Fire Hall, 6 Jones Road, New Minas. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville.
