David Eugene Criss

David Eugene Criss - age 72, of Saskatoon, formerly of Kentville, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at home.

David was the eldest son of the late Cecil Eugene and Elizabeth (Izzard-Davidson) Criss, of Sheffield Mills, where his late father was a foreman on a farm.

David attended Cornwallis District High School and also Mack's Business College in Kentville. He was employed with Bonnyman Pontiac in New Minas where he lived for a number of years before moving to Manitoba to work in the mines. He later moved to Saskatoon where he worked in an office for The Wheat Pool. David loved Nova Scotia and had just recently planned to come home.

He is survived by sons, Ryan Matthew Criss, Saskatoon; Robert Armstrong, Toronto; eight year old twin grandchildren, Ebony and Armoni; daughter, Bonnie Soerensen, Regina, grown grandchildren, Ashton and Jeannette; daughter, Michelle Fray, Thunder Bay; eldest sister, Sharon Anne Criss-O'Neil, New Minas; sisters, Donna Marie Criss (Kunz), Australia; Charlotte Rose States, Kentville; Darlene Heather Smith, New Minas; brother, Daniel Joseph Criss, Truro; many nieces, nephews whom he loved and adored.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his youngest brother, Gary Micheal Criss in 1978. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation, by request.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 30, 2022 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. For those unable to attend, a livestream of the service will be available at that time. Donations in memory may be made to the New Minas Baptist Church or your local food bank. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
