Osie Rosina Harris

Osie Rosina Harris, 91, life-long resident of White Rock, passed away peacefully in Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville on Saturday, May 21, 2022 surrounded by loving family. Born in White Rock, she was a daughter of the late Vincent and Minnie (Tracey) Schofield.

Osie is survived by her sons, Douglas (Christina), Gordon (Janice) and Timothy (Darlene) Harris; daughters, Dale Whynott and Angie Harris; daughters-in-law, Heather and Valerie Harris; brothers, Charles (Sylvia) and Wayne (Sandy); sisters, Bertha Harris and Pauline Murray; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Adelbert "Del" Harris; sons, Brian and Stephen Harris; and brothers, Blake, Vincent Jr. and Rodney Schofield.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks of appreciation to the Staff at Evergreen Home for the excellent care Osie received while she was a resident and the compassion at the end of her journey. A very special thank you to Amanda Mason, a volunteer at Evergreen Home, for always being there with Osie. We are so grateful to you for your kindness.

There will be no visitation by request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 26 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. A video webcast of the service will be available at that time. A private family interment will take place in Black River Cemetery, Black River. Donations in memory may be made to the ALS Society of Nova Scotia or the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
