Barbara Mary Cecelia (Power) Clark
1939-2022

Barbara Mary Cecelia "Barb" (Power) Clark
June 8, 1939 - June 7, 2022
Born in Halifax, she is the eldest daughter of late Kenneth Power and Eileen Hartlen. Barb could be seen often roller-skating down Gottingen Street in Halifax in her younger years and taking her siblings, Ken (Jan) and Linda (Danny) to the movie theater.
She passed peacefully with her endearing childhood sweetheart and husband, Bud, cherished daughter and caregiver, Kim and granddaughter, Katelyne by her side. Her love of music playing softly in the background.
A loving wife and
dance partner of 64 years to Bud (Harold) Clark, they could always be
spotted on the dance floor, jive being one of their favorites. Barb
enjoyed singing and was a former member of the Valley Voices, known by
her nickname Barbie Boa. Over the years she shared her joy of curling,
rifle shooting, canoeing, fishing, hunting, softball, camping and
travelling with her family. Many years she was a senior aerobics
instructor in the Digby area, even her grandchildren would join in on
the fun. Being a voracious reader, she always had stacks of books on
hand to read during her quiet time.
One of
her biggest joys was the sound of laughter that filled her home. Being
a mother to Guy, Kim, and Lee. A grandmother to Sylena (Greg), April
(Jason) and Michael (Meagan), Koral, Keileen (Marshall), Katelyne
(Adnan), Jamenson and Kolton. A great grandmother to Andrew, Nathan,
Owen, Syia, True, Ava, Theo, Brandon, Lily, Aliauna, and Nova Lee. She
will be missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews as well as Marie
Ducey and Michelle Hachey.
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Valley VON, Eunice and Celissa of Senior care by Angels for the excellent and loving care they provided over the past six months.
