Thelma Ruth Bishop

Thelma Ruth Bishop - 67, of Berwick, passed away on June 18, 2022 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville with her family by her side. Born in Kentville, she was a daughter of the late William and Blanche (Conrad) Mapplebeck.

Thelma had a great sense of humor, infectious laugh, larger-than-life personality, and was always the life of the party. She worked in retail for many years, starting with Towers and finishing with Kent Building Supplies where she worked for over 25 years as a forklift operator and at the Service Desk. She loved her time at Kent, and often referred to her colleagues there as her second family. She loved her family immensely and leaves them with fond memories of her listening to music and dancing to her favorite songs.

She is survived by her son, Scott (Joanne) Bishop, Kentville; daughter, Triena Bishop, Centreville; beloved grandchildren, Kira, Emily, Brayden, and Sophia; brother, Peter (Shirley) Mapplebeck; sisters, Geneva Munroe, Black Rock; and Nellie (Ed) Schofield, Black River Lake; several nieces and nephews; as well as her best friend, Debbie (Ed) Murphy, Aldershot. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Michael Bishop.
