H. "Sharon" Taylor

1946-2022

H. "Sharon" Taylor

H. Sharon Taylor – 75, of North Alton, Kings County, passed peacefully away, at home, surrounded by her family on Thursday, June 23, 2022 following a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born in Tatamagouche, raised in Wallace Bay, she was a daughter of the late George and Minnie (Knights) Brown. She is survived by her sons, Patrick (Jaqueline) and Andrew (Tammy); a daughter, Angela (Robbie) Caldwell; grandchildren, Courtney, Brandon, Christopher and Jacob Caldwell; Joseph Taylor; Lucas and Emily Taylor; James, Michael and Jenna Tanner; six great grandchildren; a brother, Lyle (Veronica) Brown; nephew, Jeff (Rhonda) Brown; niece, Jennifer (Steve) Priest; six great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Barry Brown and his wife, Marilyn; a stepson, Charles Taylor and her beloved golden retriever, Tucker. She leaves behind many friends from all over the world, between her volunteer work, the trips she made to England and meeting many on-line through chat groups, sharing mutual interests. There are far too many to count but know that she cherished each and every one of you. Mom had a passion for volunteering at Evergreen Home for Special Care in Kentville and she loved with all her heart the friends she made there, including residents, volunteers and staff. She was an avid gardener and birdwatcher and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. At mom’s request, there will be no visitation.  She will be taken home to be buried with her parents, back with her beloved father, in the Wallace Bay Cemetery with a simple graveside service, at a later date, when all family can be present. ("Grandad, Shottie is coming home!"). Donations in memory may be made to Evergreen Home for Special Care or Open Arms. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. On-line condolences and inquiries may be directed to www.whitefamilyfuneralhome.com.
