Louise Celeste Coolen

Louise Celeste Coolen, age 67, passed away July 13, 2022 in Orchard Court, Shannex, Kentville, NS. Born in Fox Point, she was a daughter of the late Aubrey and Reta (Doyle) Coolen.

Louise had many struggles and challenges throughout her life which she always handled with kindness and grace. She had been a long-time resident of Halifax and enjoyed many a bingo game at the Halifax Forum. She also liked to stroll down Spring Garden Road and talk to all the locals. Louise had a childlike innocence about her. She was always ready with a smile and a kind word to lift your spirits.

Louise is survived by her brothers, Kenneth (Donna), Mississauga, ON; Phillip, Orchard Court, Kentville; Paul, Sioux Lookout, ON; and Laurie (Shirley), Chester; sisters, Barbara, Hantsport; Sandra, Halifax; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Wayne and sister, Audrey.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to any women’s shelter.
