Wilfred Ernest Bond

Wilfred Ernest Bond – age 77, of Kentville, formerly of Lakeville, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Kentville, he was a son of the late John and Florence (Johnstone) Bond. Wilfred had been employed with Scotian Gold and later ACA in the hatchery department from where he retired with over 25 years of service. He enjoyed listening to and playing music, going to the shore, attending Legion dances and western movies, especially John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. He is survived by common-law spouse, Mary Misner, Kentville; two daughters, Mary D. Bond, Dartmouth and Debra Bond (John Lepper) Saint John, NB; separated spouse, Mary J. (Mailman) Bond, Waterville; two step-sons, Johnny (Lisa) Misner, Alberta; Kenny (Sher) Misner, Kentville; three grandchildren, Amanda (Valerie) Dufour RMT, Cst. Nicole (Chris) Duguay, Thomas Lepper; one great-grandchild, Scarlett Mary Rose Duguay; sisters, Minnie Cunningham, Kentville; Ethel (Gordon) LeBlanc, Lakeville and brother, Everett (Jean), Lakeville. He was predeceased by sister, Lillian Benjamin and brother-in-law, Gerald Benjamin. Visitation will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, August 11, 2022 in the White Family Funeral Home, where the funeral service (with a video webcast) will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 12, 2022, Pastor Christina Bigelow officiating. Burial will be held in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Parkinson Society.
