Earle Michael Vantassell

It is with heavy hearts the family of Earle Michael Vantassell, age 37, of Glenmont, announces his passing on Friday, August 5, 2022 in the QEII-Halifax Infirmary, after a courageous battle with lymphoma. Born in Digby, he was a son of Emma (Stoddart) Gallant (Mark Theriault), of Digby and the late Earle Vantassell.

Earle worked at Apple Valley Foods as a Supervisor. He was always happy, had a brilliant smile and always made everyone around him smile. He had a passion for music and sports. He was an avid basketball player and enjoyed watching his kids play basketball as well. Above all, he was a loving husband and father. He loved and supported his children in all their activities. He will be deeply missed.

Earle is survived by his wife, Kyra (Meisner); children, Hilary, Hannah and Michael, all at home; brother, Ryan Vantassell (Lauren Baumen), Kitchener, ON; aunt, Sheila Vantassell Johnson (Bob Johnson), Pugwash; maternal grandfather, Gerald Stoddart, Digby; as well as many extended family and dear friends.

In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Earle and Doreen Vantassell; and maternal grandmother, Ina Stoddart.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Earle’s life will be held in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
