Rosalie Mathilda (Wallingford) Cloutier

1925-2022

Rosalie Mathilda (Wallingford) Cloutier

Rosalie Mathilda (Wallingford) Cloutier

November 19, 1925 - September 9, 2022, aged 96 and 10 months, has completed her life’s journey.

Rosalie was born and raised in Quebec and spent most of her adult years in Quebec and Ontario, retiring in Kentville where she spent her final years.

Her life was defined by her key relationships. Her devotion to her husband of 72 years, Yvon Cloutier, was the cornerstone of her earthly life. She was the matriarch of her family. She loved her daughter, Louise (Gerry), her son, Robert (Bev), and was predeceased by her sons Paul and Philippe. She was a cherished grandmother to Peter, Kate, Robyn (Kilian), Brent, Sean, and Kelly. Her family of choice included Genevieve, Edna, Graeme, and Marnie among many others. She is also survived by many great grandchildren.

Rosalie’s love for her family was infinite. She saw love as a house with many doors and rooms and was always willing to add on. Rosalie was a woman of great faith, and her life reflected her generosity of spirit. She saw the best in everyone she met

She enjoyed her life to the full living at Kings Riverside Court. She was accomplished in creating beauty, a passionate knitter, quilter, and baker.

Very special thank you to Dr. Merle McMillan for over a decade of ongoing care. The family would like to thank the residents and staff of Kings Riverside Court for their support and kindness to Rosalie. We also appreciate the care and compassion shown by the Doctors, Nurses, and staff of the Emergency Room and Medical Unit B at Valley Regional Hospital.

Due to Covid-19 concerns in Kings Riverside Court, the Celebration of Rosalie's life will now be held at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Wolfville on Thursday, September 15 at 10:00 am, followed by a reception for family and friends to be held in the church hall. Interment will take place in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Ridge Road. In lieu of flowers, donations to a local food bank would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. On-line condolences and inquiries may be directed to www.whitefamilyfuneralhome.com.
