BEZANSON, A. Yvonne (Best), formerly of New Minas, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 in Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville with her sons by her side. Born in Prospect, Kings Co., the only daughter of the late Perry and Eunice (Lloyd) Best.
Yvonne worked out for a good many years and for the last eighteen years of her working career she was employed by the Province of Nova Scotia. She did some volunteer work after retirement and especially enjoyed volunteering for the VON.
She is survived by her four sons, Marvin (Vicki), Kentville; Dale, Canaan; Garth, South Alton; and Brian (Lorraine), North River Road, South Alton; eight grandchildren, Troy (Leslie), Steven, Corrine (Darren), Belinda (Ken), Beverly (Jeff), Lindsay (Krista), Gregory (Robyn) and Tim (Brittany); and 10 great-grandchildren, Cohen, Bennett, Addison, Jack, Carter, Brooke, McKinley, Cameron, Jennica and Jessica. She was predeceased by an infant son, Wayne; daughter, Debbie; daughter-in-law, Vivian; and great-granddaughter, Emma.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the nurses and staff of Wolfville Elms, Valley Regional Hospital – Medical B Unit and Evergreen Home for Special Care for the excellent care that Yvonne received with them.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A graveside service and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 24, 2022 in Cambridge Cemetery, Cambridge, Kings Co. For those unable to attend, a video webcast will be available on-line on Friday, November 25. Donations in memory may be made to the Valley Regional Hospital Foundation or the Carey-Me Fund (supporting Palliative Care in the home).
