Cecil Laurie Dominey

Cecil Laurie Dominey, age 65, Lakeville, Kings County. It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, brother, at home, on Wednesday, December 28, 2022.

Cecil was born on January 22, 1957, to the late Jim and Isabel (Frank) Dominey. Cecil was a special person who lived life to the fullest and touched the hearts of all who knew him. He was employed in farming, as a school custodian at Central Kings Rural High School, at the Berwick Bakery and most recently, as owner/operator of Dominey’s Ventilation Ltd. More than anything, he was a family man, always up for making memories, creating a laugh, sharing a story.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy (Creemer); three sons, Chuck (Pam), Greenwood; Cecil, Lakeville; Cory (Adrienne Pynch), Berwick; and grandchildren he adored, Lorri, Liam, Larz and Felix. Cecil is also survived by a large family of siblings, Les (Hazel) Dominey, Saint John; Fred (Jackie) Dominey, North Alton; Gertie (Phillip) Dryden, Grafton; David (Sherry) Dominey, Kentville; Bill (Bernice), Aylesford; Sylvia (Donnie) Yorke, Black Rock; Dorothy Creemer, Lakeville; Chris (Ruth), Coldbrook; Janet (Tony) Fredricks, Cambridge; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Cecil was predeceased by sister Cindy in childhood and brother-in-law Bobby Creemer.

Visitation will take place from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, officiated by Reverend Christina Bigelow, will also be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 with a reception to follow. Public interment will take place in Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville. For those unable to attend, a video webcast will be available at the time of the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Valley Regional Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
