Asaph T. Stevens

On January 5, 2023, Asaph T. Stevens, age 82, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away at his home in Centreville, Nova Scotia. Born in Wolfville, he was a son of the late Ernest and Bessie Stevens.

Dad is survived by his son, David (Michelle); daughters, Faye (Chris), Catherine (Marty), Jacqueline (Kenny), Wanda and Sharon (Rob) and their families. He is also survived by his sisters, Glenda and Pearl; brothers, James and Malcolm. He was predeceased by his wife, Mona; sisters, Elaine, June and Mary.

Dad was a hardworking, well-respected man and worked in the hog industry until his retirement. He had a few hobbies which included gardening, and of course, watching his favorite hockey team, the Toronto Maple Leafs play.

The family would like to thank Dr. MacMillan, the VON and all of our relatives and friends for the compassionate care that was extended to our Dad. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the White Family Funeral Home for all they have done to help our family through this difficult time. Your kindness, caring, compassion and professionalism were appreciated, and we extend our deepest thanks and gratitude to you all for going above and beyond.

Our Dad never liked being the center of attention and per his wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. A private family interment will take place in the Arlington Cemetery. There will be a celebration of his life on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 3:00 to 5:00pm at his home, 8133 Highway 221, Centreville, Nova Scotia.
