Shelley Anne (Bent) Forbes, 52 of Lunenburg, NS passed away unexpectedly on January 15, 2023. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of Alan Bent, of Aylesford and the late Judy (Whitman) Bent and sister to Scott Bent.

Shelley left the Valley after high school and went to St. Mary’s University where she excelled, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts cum laude (’92). She was married in 1997 and worked for the family business, "retiring" in 2007.  She then spent her time on her passion, renovating and remodeling houses, buying and selling several properties. Shelley loved all animals, and always had horses, sheep, cats and dogs and caring for them was a central part of her life. Shelley both loved being in nature and fashion and design. She and Ivan enjoyed travelling together enjoying concerts and music. She loved deeply and selflessly.

She was predeceased by her mother and grandparents, and we know that her mother Judy, grandparents, Ray and Dorothy Whitman and Ivan and Lea Forbes are taking care of Shelley now.
