Loretta I. (Penny) Chiasson

It is with a sad heart Loretta Irene (Penny) Chiasson –78 of Aylesford, N.S. passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 17, 2023 in the Valley Hospice in Kentville, N.S.

Born in Kentville N.S., she was the daughter of the late Gordon (Clarice) Penny and Edna (Meister) (Charles) MacLeod. Loretta lived and worked in Toronto for many years before moving back to N.S. with our mother in 2002. Loretta was a very kind and loving person. She loved to play golf. She loved fashion and decorating her homes. Most of all she loved cats.

She is survived by one sister, Gloria, Greenwood; one brother, Gordon (Judy) Penny, Greenwood Square, N.S.; three step-sisters, Pat (Gerry) Chamberlain, Ottawa; Ruby MacLeod and Doris MacLeod, both of Toronto, Ontario; one step-brother, Robert MacLeod, Belleville, Ontario; lots of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter; parents, Gordon (Clarice) and Edna (Charlie); aunts, Janet (Houghton) Meister and Myrtle (Thorp) Meister; uncles, Gordon Meister and Robert "Gus" Meister; step-brother, Perry Whittle and nephew, Gary Wood.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by family request. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2023 in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Father Michael Walsh officiating. Donations can be made to the Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.

She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. R.I.P. Dear Loretta.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
