Ronald James "Ron" Gerrard

Ronald James "Ron" Gerrard – 85, of Kentville, Kings County, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 22, 2023 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, he was the son of the late Grace Gerrard. Ron was an accountant by profession and a business professor at Acadia University in Wolfville for many years. He was also involved in real estate and took great pride in maintaining his properties. Ron was a sports enthusiast; he was an avid fan and supporter of the Hockey Axemen and a member of Ken-Wo Golf and Country Club. He also enjoyed catching up with friends at coffee. What Ron valued the most was family; he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He will be sadly missed by those who knew him. Ron is survived by his wife, Donna (Haines); children, Michele, Craig (Cynthia), and Nicole (Ramon), all of Kentville; six grandchildren, Nicholas, Asya, Raina, Makayla, Luke and Nick; a great grandchild, Charlotte. In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Ann Hickey. In keeping with Ron’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service. The family wishes to thank John MacEachern for his unwavering support and encouragement. Donations in memory may be made to the Kings Shelter of the SPCA, The Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
