James Gordon Curran

James Gordon Curran - 63, of New Minas, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2023 at home. Born in Wolfville, he was a son of the late Hillary and Marguerite (Dill) Curran. James was employed for many years in a variety of positions, but he enjoyed many years as a long-haul trucker. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, darts, pool and spending time with family, friends and especially with his grandchildren. He is survived by two sons, Christopher James, New Minas and Nicholas Hillary, Halifax; former wife, Bonnie-Sue Curran, Bear River; two loving grandchildren, Luke James, Halifax and Ava Mae, Nictaux; five sisters, Debbie Curran (Rick Miller), Windermere; Margaret Reese, Berwick; Janet (Robert) Reese, Aylesford; Nancy (Kenneth) Gould, Kingston; Catherine (Don) Balch, Aylesford; three brothers, David (Deanna), Welsford; Robert (Crystal), Canning; Jeffery (Trudy), Port Williams; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Joyce "Pepper" Herman; three brothers, Ronald "Mugsy", Michael Joseph and Raymond Patrick. Cremation has taken place and there will be no service, by request. The family will be having a celebration of life from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at his sister Kay’s home located at 7520 Aylesford Road, Aylesford, all friends and family are welcome to attend. Donations in memory may be made to Autism Nova Scotia. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
