Jody Lewis Lloyd Coldwell

1971-2023

Jody Lewis Lloyd Coldwell Jody Lewis Lloyd Coldwell

It is with great sadness the family of Jody Lewis Lloyd Coldwell, age 51 of Gaspereau announces his unexpected passing on February 9, 2023. Born in Wolfville, he was the son of Sharon Lee (Murphy) MacDonald and the late Ronald Elwin Coldwell.

Jody loved all sports. He played hockey, basketball and softball. He loved riding his motocross bike and then later loved his Harley Davidson. As an avid Maple Leaf Fan, he always had time to analyze and speculate the team’s season with The Boodster (Bill).

Jody pursued a culinary career which drew him to Vancouver for over 10 years. During his time in the west, he picked up another love - mountain biking. However, Jody’s love of trucks and the open road brought him back to Nova Scotia where he started a second career. He followed in his father’s footsteps by getting licensed and became a professional long-haul truck driver.

Jody had a big heart which was most evident by his love for animals. He always had a rescue and chose the unadoptable ones to give them a second chance. He loved his family and they meant the world to him. Jody always had a light-hearted and often silly infectious influence on any situation. He will be deeply missed by those he touched.

Jody is survived by his mother, Sharon (Bill) MacDonald, Liverpool; brother, Tim (Nancy), Pembroke Pines, FL; sister, Tina, Kentville; nephews, Duncan and Barrett Coldwell, Dillon (Kyla) and Brock Burgess; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

Jody was predeceased by his father Ronald Elwin Coldwell (September 2022); paternal grandparents, Elwin and Margaret Coldwell; maternal grandparents, Chester and Essie Murphy, and uncles, Sonny and Bill Murphy.
