WELL KNOWN KENTVILLE RESIDENT PASSES AWAY

Eva Loretta Turple – age 67, of Kentville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 2, 2023 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Pictou, she was a daughter of the late Charles Turple and Florence (Hanes) Murphy. Eva was well known by most in the Town of Kentville. She would always greet you with a friendly hello or chat and when she wasn’t in one of the local businesses, Eva could often be found helping with the lunch program at Open Arms Resource Centre. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by sister, Nellie Turple; half-sister, Viola Ross, Windsor; special friend, Dennis Ramsey. She also leaves behind her cat, Tubby. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2023 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend John Andrew officiating. For those unable to attend, a livestream of the service will be available at that time. Interment will take place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, at a later date. For those wishing to honour Eva’s memory, the community is raising funds to provide a monument to mark her final resting place. Donations (unfortunately no tax receipt will be available) will be facilitated through Valley Connect Outreach Association.
