Lloyd Arthur Schofield

1949-2023

It is with great sadness the family of Lloyd Arthur Schofield, age 73, of Toronto, ON, formerly of Port Williams, announces his sudden passing on Monday, April 3, 2023 at home in Toronto, with family at bedside. Born in the Annapolis Valley, he was a son of the late Lloyd and Faith (Swinamer) Schofield, of Port Williams.

Prior to retirement, Lloyd worked as an engineer before becoming President of F.C. O’Neill, Scriven and Associates. He enjoyed playing guitar, reading, gardening, long bike rides to stay fit, drives along the sea coast and keeping up to date with the world of science.

Lloyd is survived by his children, Chad Schofield and Adrienne Schofield (Ying), both of Toronto, ON; brother, Darren (Stephanie), of Halifax; sister, Elaine Vaughan, of Great Village, NS; and grandchildren, Madeline and Nathan (Choo). In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Edith (Morrison); and brother-in-law, Vance Vaughan.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. For those unable to attend, a video webcast will be available at that time. Interment will take place in St. John’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Church Street, Port Williams. Donations in memory may be made to Parkinson Canada or the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
