Linda Joyce (Brown) Fancey

1942-2023

Linda Joyce (Brown) Fancey

**UPDATED SERVICE DETAILS **

Our beloved Linda Joyce Fancey (Brown) has passed away. She will be missed greatly!

Linda suffered a severe fatal heart attack - she left us at the Valley Reginal Hospital in Kentville, on Sunday, March 26, 2023 around suppertime. (Thank you to the staff at the Valley Regional for making her transition and her families experience of it as comfortable and compassionate as you could).

Linda will be remembered by many people and close friends as the "life of the party". Her laughter and big-hearted way of enjoying time with family and friends will remain with us all!

Linda was born in Lakeville, was a Business College graduate and went on to work at the Kentville Research Station for over 25 years, until her retirement.

Linda survived her husband, Stewart J. Fancey; her sister, Donna G. Lyons and her daughter, Shelley Markle.

She is survived by and will remain in loving memory to her son, Marty Fancey (Kathy and family); her youngest sister, Alva Keddy (Terry and family); her niece who was like a daughter to her, Patricia McNair (Patrick and family); her nephew, Mervin Lyons and her estranged niece, Carolyn Ells.

She is also survived by her only grandson, Kyle Markle (Sam and family); her four granddaughters, Mikayla and Makenzie Fancey, Rebecca Markle and Corinne Markle (Greg and family).

Linda truly loved her grandkids and fully enjoyed spending time with her many great grandchildren.

Linda’s wish was for cremation and a drop-in visitation for the Celebration of her Life.

Over the years and before her declining health, she fully enjoyed being a member of the Berwick Legion (Ortona Branch No. 69) where she was a part of Darts, Dances, Dinners and many other functions. As well as filling a position for a while as the secretary. This seemed to be a joyous memorable place to hold her visitation and celebration of life.

We invite her friends and family to drop into a celebration of Life for Linda in the Music Room at the Berwick Legion on Sunday, May 21st, 2023, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Children are welcome in this designated Family Space. Come and share your memory, or story and share in her Celebration of Life.  You are welcome to bring sandwiches and light foods. A buffet table will be set up for this.  We look forward to seeing and sharing with you then.  Thank You to the Berwick Legion for providing this space for Linda’s Celebration of Life. To find out more or to send a message for her family, contact Trish at [email protected]. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.

Linda J. Fancey - go dance and feel our Love
and know the memory of who you are to each of us
will remain in our hearts.
