Peter Allison Lightfoot

Peter Allison Lightfoot - 61, of Kentville, NS, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 7, 2023. Peter was born in Kentville on January 31, 1962 to Harold Lightfoot and Jean (Norton) Lightfoot. After joining the Canadian Armed Forces at the age of 18, Peter completed 24 years of service. Within his career in the Royal Canadian Air Force he had the opportunity to be posted to various locations in Canada and in the United States as well. Peter retired as a Sergeant in 2007 and spent his time with various hobbies as well as spending time with his friends and family. He was such a caring, loving, giving man with a great sense of humour. He will he missed by everyone who knew him. Peter was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his children, Tamika Lightfoot (Jon) of New Minas, NS and Theresa Lightfoot (Janine) of Makkovik, NL. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Jaden, Aaju, Tavin and Mason. He is also survived by his siblings Tim Lightfoot (Lysa), Darren Lightfoot and Elizabeth Lightfoot (Aimee) and will also be missed by his nieces, Chelsey Schmuland (Brock), Jennah Lightfoot and Juliana Davis; his great niece, Paisley Schmuland; great nephew, Holden Schmuland and his service dog, Kitt, who will miss him dearly. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2023, when a combined Royal Canadian Legion Tribute and funeral service will be held in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. A Video webcast will be available at that time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Wounded Warriors of Canada and designated to Paws Fur Thought, an organization Peter felt strongly about. They provide service dogs to veterans suffering from PTSD.
