George Frederick Graves

It is with immense sadness that the family of George Frederick Graves, age 59, of Tantallon, formerly of Kentville, announces his unexpected passing in the QEII – Halifax Infirmary, Halifax, on Friday, May 5, 2023. Born in Kentville, he was a son of Roy Graves, of Kentville and the late Georgina (McGean) Graves.

George worked for Eassons Transportation Group and David Brown United Transport as a long-haul truck driver. He loved being on the road and all the places that he was able to see. He was patient, kind and loved his family beyond measure.

George is survived by his loving partner, Jacqueline Berringer; his sons, Corey Graves (Elyssa Schofield), Kentville and Trevor Graves (Crystal Lenihan), North Alton; and their mother, Shelley Ward (Ron Cox), Kentville; brother, Roy Graves, New Minas; sister, Rose Ann (Chris) Turner, North Kentville; grandchildren, Corey Jr., Serenity, Hunter and Jordan; Jacqueline’s mother, Myrtle Duggan, East Dover; and Jacqueline’s brothers and their families, who loved George like their own; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 14, 2023 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2023 with a reception to follow. A private family interment will take place in Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
