Archie William Lockhart

Archie William Lockhart – age 77, of Canaan, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 in Valley Hospice, Kentville. Born in Kentville, he was a son of the late William and Myrtle (Floden) Lockhart.

Archie was a beloved son, father, grandfather and brother and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his children, Steven (Mia) Lockhart and Chandra Lockhart; his beloved grandchildren, Jasmine, Jade, Milo, Ben and Quinn; siblings, Cecil (Mary) Lockhart, Rosanne Richards, Esther (Kevin) Bradley and Keith Lockhart; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Charles and Eric Lockhart.

In his working life, Archie was the founder of Archie’s Welding in New Minas. He was well-known for his innovative and honest hard work. A humble and generous man, he was deeply committed to his faith to the end of his life. Archie was also an avid outdoorsman and always up for an adventure.  He was a special grampie and friend to many.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 28, 2023, in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 29. For those unable to attend, a video webcast will be available. The interment will take place in Canard Burial Ground, Canard. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the Valley Hospice Foundation (https://valleyhospice.ca/).
