Peter Frederick MacLeod, age 61, of Cambridge, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2023 due to cancer. He was born May 7, 1962 in Berwick to Leslie and Ida (Paulette) MacLeod. After a 15-year engagement he married his soulmate, Shirley Gaudet, whom he loved dearly.

Peter loved to love people. He loved to go hunting, fishing, and canoeing with his wife Shirley. He loved his job as a water maintenance man for AVFN where he had worked for 25 years.

Peter was predeceased by his father, Leslie MacLeod; brother, Gary Phillips; and a sister who was stillborn. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; his mother, Ida, Cambridge; two stepsons, Joey Boelhouwer (Rae McDonald), Edmonton, AB; and Joshua Gaudet, Cambridge; brothers, Dennis (Pamela), Truro; John (Jeannie), Shubenacadie; Blair (Sherri) and Kenny (Marina), both of Dartmouth; nephews, Keith, Ryan, Tyler and Nicola; and nieces, Terri Lynn, Sharon and Sara Jane; several great nephews and nieces and one grandniece.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 in the Annapolis Valley First Nation Bingo Hall, with a reception to follow. Interment will take place in St. Bernadette’s Cemetery, AVFN, Cambridge. For those unable to attend, a video webcast will be available on-line by Thursday, June 22.
