Linden Scott "Bob" Brown

Linden Scott "Bob" Brown, 76, of Billtown, Kings County, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023 with his children by his side in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville.

Born in Kentville, he was a son of the late Garfield and Leah (Ward) Brown.

Bob had been employed with Irving Oil Limited for 20 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and gardening. He was a member of the Northville Farm Heritage Centre, the Annapolis Valley Lake and Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club and the Canadian Wildlife Federation.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda (Simpson); daughter, Cheryl (David) Lord, Kentville; son, Wayne, Centreville; two grandsons, Kaiden Brown and Ethan Brown, both of Centreville; sisters, Ardythe (Robert) Manson, The Forties; Gail Brown, Kingston; brothers, Gary (Helen), Centreville and Stephen, East Halls Harbour; sisters-in-law, Mary Weller, Victoria, BC; Vivian Brown, Centreville; Joan Brown, Centreville; brother-in-law, Leo Murphy, Kentville; many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Elaine Mills and Judith Murphy; brothers, Eric, Hugh and Marvin; brother-in-law, Lloyd Mills and daughter-in-law, Amanda Brown.

The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Gunn and the doctors and staff of the ICU and Medical B at the Valley Regional Hospital for the excellent care they provided, as well as a very special thank you to caregivers Jodi Bishop and Mary Jane Forrest who took wonderful care of Dad over the last several months.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service (with video webcast available) will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 24, 2023 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Chris Johnston officiating. Burial to follow in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Donations in memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada or a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
