Fearn Ellen Rafuse
1933-2023
It is with breaking hearts that we announce the passing of Fearn Ellen Rafuse, of New Minas. She passed away on September 10, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 90 in the Valley Hospice, Kentville. Fearn was born in 1933, to the late Brenton and Ella (Hatfield) McCulley in Fox River, NS.
Fearn is survived by her son, Ronald Rafuse, Cambridge; daughter, Sherrie (Sidney) Hoculak, Star, AB; sister, Grace Winter; brother, Gary McCulley; grandchildren, Christopher (Erin) Craig, Fort Saskatchewan, AB; Stephen Craig, Edmonton, AB; Kelly Craig, Edmonton, AB; Andrew Kelland, Calgary Alberta and Keegan (Krysten) Hoculak, Tofield, AB; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Marshall, Dawson, Connor, Brodie, Kyla, Grayson and Ruby.
She was predeceased by her husband, Glenford Stephen Rafuse; a baby girl; parents, Brenton Samuel McCulley and Ella Delphina McCulley; and brother, Robie "Sonny" McCulley.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation, by request. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 18, 2023 in the Grace United Church Cemetery, Port Greville, Cumberland County. Donations in memory may be made to SPCA Kings County, the Canadian Cancer Society or Valley Hospice Foundation. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
