Gregory Wilfred "Greg" Sewards

Born in Yarmouth on September 1, 1942, Gregory Wilfred "Greg" Sewards, grandson of the late Peter and Jenny Surrette, passed away peacefully at his South Alton home on November 22, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones.

Founder of Sea Lai Martial Arts Nova Scotia and Berlin, Germany, Greg will be remembered by many as an avid Tai Chi and Kung Fu teacher as well as a school bus driver and Canada Post mail delivery agent. Antique cars and dancing to the oldies were also his passion.

Greg is survived by his loving wife, Shannon (daughter of Cecil and Doris Millett); his children, Tim, Anne Hale and Chris; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Joseph and Alan and sister, Regina.

He was predeceased by brothers, Robert, Daniel and sisters, Joan and Janice.

A celebration of Greg’s life will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2023 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. A very special thank you to Dr. Gunn and his staff for his wonderful care of Greg and kindness to his family over the years. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
