Edna Beatrice Graham

It is with sadness, but with gratitude for her long life, we announce the passing of Edna Beatrice (Rafuse) Graham, of Berwick on Monday, December 11, 2023 in Grand View Manor, Berwick at the age of 102. Born in New Ross, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Mary (Russell) Rafuse. Edna was a member of the Berwick Baptist Church for over 70 years, a member of the MacPherson Auxiliary, a former member of the Ann Foster Hospital Auxiliary, and a former member of St. Eudora Rebekah Lodge No. 43, the Berwick curling club and a director of the family meat business. As well, she was a volunteer worker with the White Cross workers, and the Seniors rest home in Berwick. In 2006, she was honored along with her husband Gordon at a tribute dinner in the Berwick Lion’s Hall concerning their activities in the town of Berwick and surrounding area.

She had many hobbies, including curling, card making, oil painting, and a great interest in home photography including movies, slides and pictures of many family gatherings, travelling, scenery, and the beautiful sunsets at their summer cottage at the shore. Her collection includes many thousand pictures where so much beauty is within her photo albums.

Surviving are her son and his wife, Wendell (Marijean Owen) Graham, Wolfville; daughter-in-law, Mary K. Graham, Berwick; grandchildren, Lori (Rick) Rooseboom, Lynn (Todd) Dempsey, Scott Graham, Meghan (Matthew) DeSouza, and Andrew Graham (Susanna Rinard); great-grandchildren, Tessa Rooseboom, Claire Rooseboom, Braden Dempsey (Brooke Scott), Logan (Hannah) Sutherland-Dempsey, Hannah Dempsey (Dylan Gannon), Evelyn DeSouza, Graham DeSouza, Anselm Owens and Marion Owens; as well as many nieces and nephews.
