Patricia "Pat" Ann (Sarsfield) Miller

‘Pat’ Sarsfield, 79, born to ‘Babe’ and Catherine (Brady) Sarsfield, died on January 19, 2024, surrounded by family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; her infant sister, Cathy; her brothers, JoeMike and Jerry (Christine); and former husband, Norman Miller. She is survived by her partner of 37 years, Bill Davidson; daughter, Colleen Miller of Calgary, AB; stepsons, Paul, Ross (Emma) and Scott (Gill) Davidson; grandsons, Ethan, James and Jack, all of the UK; nephews, Mike (Rosa) and Sam (Jessica); great nephew, Colin and great niece, Ella Christine, all of the US.

Pat grew up in Canning, where she was often seen riding her horse, Sam Slick. She and Sam participated in horse showing and jumping around the province. Pat was a committed nurse in various capacities. She graduated (1965) from the VG School of Nursing and continued with a degree in nursing. Pat later undertook a diploma in Outpost Nursing at Dalhousie and finished her study with a Master of Nursing at University of Alberta. She spent time early in her career in Norman Wells, NWT and then move to Edmonton, AB in 1987 where she and her family settled for 23 years. In 2012, she moved back to her hometown of Canning, NS to finish out her career.

Pat worked as a clinical nurse, an outpost nurse and in nursing administration in a number of settings. She enjoyed traveling around the world with partner Bill. Pat is appreciative of the kindness and care provided to her by friends and family during the last year while she needed help. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to gather for Pat’s burial between 1:00 and 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17 in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville.
