James Edward Long

James Edward Long, age 59, of New Minas, died on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at the QEII-Halifax Infirmary, Halifax, with Holly by his side. Born in Saint John, NB, he was a son of the late Shirley Stultz and George Long.

James worked for 32 years at Carpet One in Kentville as a flooring installer. The Cleveland’s were like family to him. Special thanks to them for their care. James was kind, generous and would go above and beyond to help anyone, he will be missed by many family and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Shirley and George. James is survived by his loving partner, Holly Silver; stepson, Logan Silver (Erika Frost); sisters-in-law, Deborah Elliott and Jo-Anne Pruyn; brother-in-law, Billy Pruyn; and half-brother, Harold Conway.
