David Allison Strong

David Allison Strong, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend to many, passed away on February 21st, 2024 in Kentville, Nova Scotia. He was born on April 29th, 1948 in the same province he called home.

David's love for his family knew no bounds, he took all opportunities to share his families’ achievements. He is survived by his loving wife Betty Jean (Graves); sons, Mike (Anne Marie) and Stephen (Aimee); daughter, Erin (Rob); grandchildren Taylor, Jessie, Kenzie, Colten, Cooper, and Quinn; great grandchild Clay. David is also survived by brother, Gerald, sister, Cathy and mother Joyce.

David had the amazing ability to see the positive in all people and situations; he was admired for his positive outlook on life. He found joy in spending time with those he loved most, whether it was watching birds or sitting outside on the swing having heart-to-heart chats with friends and family. His warmth extended beyond just humans; David had a special place in his heart for animals too.

A true salesman at heart, David found immense satisfaction in his work which brought him great joy especially when making a sale. His dedication to providing for his family never wavered.

David was predeceased by his first wife, Elizabeth, brothers, Victor and Larry and father, Stewart.

The impact of David's passing has left an unfillable void within the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him during this lifetime.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by request. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 8th in Cambridge Baptist Church, Pastor Joe Gosbee officiating, where friends and family can come together to honor the memory of this remarkable man whose presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten. For those unable to attend, a video webcast will be available on-line by Saturday, March 9th. Interment will take place in Cambridge Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to your local SPCA. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
